APPOINTMENTS AND ENQUIRIES

Appointments can be made by phoning the surgery. Consultations can be obtained normally within two working days. There is a flexible appointment system to accomodate patients with urgent problems.

If you need more time with the Doctor, please tell the receptionist when you make an appointment.

RINGING THE DOCTOR

Patients are able to obtain information or advice related to their clinical care at any time during working hours by phone.

AFTER HOURS CARE

If you need to contact the Doctor when surgery is closed, please call 04 2727 2800. The Doctor provides his own 24 hour cover 7 days a week. There is an appropriate after hours message on the answering machine.

HOME VISITS

The Doctor is happy to visit you at home if you are too sick to come to surgery. Regular home visits are attended before 9.00 am and after 5.30 pm. Home visits are not bulk billed.

SERVICES AVAILABLE

As well as routine consultations, the following services are available. Men's health checks, family planning, pap smears, pregnancy tests, vaccinations, E.C.G, blood tests, minor surgery, cryotherapy, referral letters and workers compensation cases.

OUR PRACTICE

Noeleen Ford, Lynn Millard are our reception support and we are proud of their patient handling skills.

Our practice has ramps, railings and accessible toilets to assist people with disabilities. We stock a range of posters, leaflets and brochures in our waiting room. The important material is always displayed on the notice borad relating to Health Department campaigns. We have a large selection of videos on loan on different disease topics.

FEES AND BILLING ARRANGEMENTS

Bulk billing is available for pensioners, Veteran Affairs card holders and Department of Family and Community Services healthcare card holders. Fees are payable in full at time of consultation.

STANDARD CONSULTATION $ 35.00

For Workers Compensation or Third Party Accident Insurance claims, claim number and insurance company details are required.

For other costs, the Doctor or the staff members will advise you accordingly.

Standard consultation is charged for travel vaccinations and is not bulk billed.
