Providing comprehensive medical care based on sound evidence based principles in a friendly and caring atmosphere with utmost respect for the individual.

The Centre boasts a modern purpose built surgery that was completed as recently as August 1998 and is equipped with all modern facilities. The staff are friendly and efficient and every effort is made to cater to the needs of the patients.

Appointments are made allowing plenty of time to deal with patient problems, but it would always help if longer appointments were requested to deal with more complex medical and/or social problems.

At the present time virtually all consultations are bulk-billed. However it is a sad fact that the costs of running a quality medical practice are increasing at a greater rate than is the Medicare rebate. It goes without saying that quality care is paramount and should it become impossible to continue to provide the best quality care under the current funding system there would be no alternative to moving away from bulk-billing as we understand it. However we will maintain it while ever it is feasible to do so.

Home visits are available for emergency situations and nursing home patients are also catered for. After hour emergency consultations are available via a roster system run by the General Practices of the Port Macquarie area and can be accessed by phoning the Surgery number. A cash fee will normally be charged for these after hours calls.

As well as all routine aspects of medical care, medical acupuncture is provided by Dr Robert Dunn under the standard Medicare arrangements.
